SEC Network analyst's breakdown of Lane Kiffin's character is pretty off-putting

The Florida Gators want Lane Kiffin to be their next head coach, but one college football analyst's description of him had some people taking a few steps back.

Less than an hour before the Ole Miss Rebels and Mississippi State Bulldogs kicked off their rivalry game, the Egg Bowl, and a day before the world was supposed to learn about the future of Lane Kiffin's coaching career, the SEC Network couldn't talk about anything else.

As the SEC Network's SEC This Morning started the morning on Friday, co-hosts Peter Burns and Chris Doering debated which team Kiffin would end up with: the Rebels, the Florida Gators, or the LSU Tigers. They also discussed why exactly Kiffin would choose his next team.

Burns and Doering went back and forth, but they agreed that Kiffin wouldn't make the decision based on money. In fact, they had a different kind of dig at the head coach.

Lane Kiffin's personality isn't for everyone

Kiffin is known for his meme-like personality on social media, consistently throwing shade at various head coaches and making sure his opinions are known, whether people asked for them or not.

Burns and Doering made it simple; they called Kiffin a "narcissist" as they broke down that the head coach would make a decision about his future based solely on what would be "best for Lane Kiffin."

As teams tried to focus on their last regular-season game of the year, and the Rebels fought for a chance to play in the SEC Championship, possibly leading to a berth in the College Football Playoffs, all anybody could talk about was where Kiffin would be coaching next season.

The description of the head coach from the conference's own television network was less than tasteful and had people, who had just been so eager to have him as their head coach, taking a small step back as they realized his personality undeniably isn't for everyone.

Ole Miss and Mississippi State were scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 28, and based on an earlier statement from the Rebels' athletic director, the world would learn about Kiffin's fate the following day.
