Born and raised in Florida, I have always had a love for sports. At an early age my late father introduced me to football and it has always remained my main love in the sports world. Growing up in Central Florida back in the 1990s, you were expected an early age to pick a side between Florida and Florida State. One of my earliest football memories was watching Steve Spurrier and the Fun 'N' Gun offense eviscerate Florida State en-route to Florida's first national championship in football. It was one of my happier childhood memories and the moment I decided to become a lifelong Florida Gators fan. Late in high school I developed a passion for writing creatively. Especially when it came to sports related topics. After realizing early that my chances of becoming a collegiate and professional athlete were about the same as Tim Tebow swearing in public, I decided to pursue a career in sports journalism. After obtaining my Associate's degree at Seminole State College of Florida, I earned my way into the University of Florida and enrolled into one of the nation's premier journalism programs. During my time at UF I volunteered across a variety of local news outlets, including the Independent Florida Alligator and WUFT News. After many trials and tribulations during my academic career, I finally achieved my childhood dream of becoming the first member of my family to graduate with a four-year college degree in December 2018. Aside from watching collegiate athletics I also take pleasure in watching the NFL, NBA, and NASCAR. I am diehard fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Orlando Magic, and Hendrick Motorsports. Outside of the sports world I also enjoy keeping up with anything pertaining to Star Wars, Marvel, Disney or wrestling (i.e. WWE). I currently reside in the Orlando area. I am proud parent to a miniature wolf who I am happy to call my best friend. I am also marrying the love of my life this October, who I have also converted into a Florida Gators fan. In return she has helped convert me more into a Disney and New York Yankees fanatic.I love talking sports with people, especially strangers. I find sports to be an outlet where people can be passionate about a certain athlete or team and do not have to face repercussions similar to other popular subjects.
