This week, nearly a dozen former Florida Gators have flocked to Indianapolis for the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.
As some players take the podium to field questions from the media and others take the field to show off their skills, four-year Florida defensive back Devin Moore stepped up to the mic, and both Gators and NFL fans alike will love what he had to say.
Moore shared that he met with the Chicago Bears on Wednesday, two days before he was scheduled to participate in the on-field drills with fellow defensive backs.
In the meeting, the former Gator was already ready to prove that he was well worth the team's interest, eagerly listening to and learning from Al Harris, a former NFL cornerback and the Bears' defensive backs coach and defensive pass game coordinator.

Moore shared that he had an amazing meeting with the Bears, saying that he "made sure to take notes. That was the first thing I did."
All of that after four years at Florida, which is continuously referred to as Defensive Back University, something that he certainly didn't let the crowd forget as he spoke to the media.
"The pedigree of being DBU, I felt like I was the type of person that could continue to pass that down," Moore said about the Gators. "Being able to learn from some of the greats that came before me... it was a great opportunity for sure.

While playing for Florida, Moore earned 64 total tackles (40 solo), eight pass deflections, five interceptions for 130 return yards, one sack, and one forced fumble. The in-state, four-star prospect from Naples proved to be worth the hype when he joined the Gators.
Whichever NFL team chooses to take the chance on him will watch him prove that he's worth the hype and self-belief, all over again.
