Little by little, the hype is building for Florida, which means more and more headlines are emerging for the Gators. As such, it can be tough to keep track of everything happening with the Gators.

Have no fear, as we here at Hail Florida Hail have you covered with our weekly roundup ahead of Florida’s game against Missouri.

Florida makes a national statement with a 52–28 beatdown of Ole Miss

The reason for all the headlines is that Florida came out and dogwalked Ole Miss in The Swamp. There were some moments of frustration on defense, but the offense for the Gators once again never wavered.

The Gators rocket into the Top 10, and make a case for an even higher ranking

Florida is now ranked No. 8 in the country, and if we are honest, they have a case to be in the top five. The only reason Florida isn’t higher is because people thought they would be terrible to start the season.

Jadan Baugh’s Heisman campaign gets impossible to ignore

Baugh’s 142 rushing yards and three touchdowns against Ole Miss bring his season totals to 600 yards and a nation-leading 11 rushing touchdowns. If he keeps this up and doesn’t win the Heisman, it’s further proof that it is next to impossible for a non-QB to win it these days.

Duke Clark gives Florida another weapon opponents have to account for

Florida’s RB2 rushed for 126 yards on 12 carries, including a 45-yard touchdown. One nickname we saw floating around that we liked for a Baugh-Clark duo was “Juke and Duke”

Denzel Aberdeen gets cleared as Florida basketball’s expectations keep rising

A judge granted Aberdeen a temporary injunction, clearing the way for him to play in 2026–27. Aberdeen came back to Florida after a year at Kentucky and figures to be a starter for the Gators this year.

Florida Volleyball continues winning streak

The Gators are up to eight wins in a row after a straight set win over Oklahoma. The Sooners kept it close enough each set, but Florida maintained its poise to win 25-21, 25-22, 25-19. The Gators will get a massive test this weekend with two games against No. 11 Tennessee and No. 3 Kentucky.

Florida Soccer gets back into the win column

After back-to-back draws, the Gators picked up their first SEC win of the year with a 5-2 beatdown of Texas A&M. Lael Hill, Sophia Sindelar, and Katie Johnston all had a goal while Kyra Taylor put two in the back of the net to raise her season total to seven goal. The Gators are now 5-3-3 on the season and are just one win shy of matching their entire win total from last year.

Florida’s recruiting weekend produces commitments for the future

Safety Cyion Smith and offensive tackle Samuel Bailey joined Florida’s class of 2028. The Gators are starting to pick up steam with the class and seem to be in line for a massive boom this January.

The Swamp showcase leaves Florida in the conversation for more recruiting wins

Five-star Texas commit Easton Royal left impressed with Florida’s offense. Whether or not Florida can get him to flip is another question. Meanwhile, multiple recruiting analysts predict the Gators will land 2028 receiver Ar’Tavian “Bubba” Brown from Tallahassee.

Vernell Brown III’s injury creates questions at receiver and punt returner

Brown and Bailey Stockton appear as questionable on the initial Missouri availability report. If both are ruled out against Missouri, Florida might have to turn to freshman Justin Williams at punt returner.
