Another day, another new elite commitment for the Florida Gators and Jon Sumrall? You've got that straight. Sumrall has been cooking with gas this offseason out on the recruiting trail, and things just got even better for him. That's because news broke that four-star defensive lineman Cahron Wheeler has committed to the Gators.

Jonathan Odom just confirmed Florida’s biggest issues under Mullen and Napier

This is how you start an official visit weekend off with a bang. Wheeler made his way to Gainesville on Thursday, and it didn't take long at all for him to realize he wants to play his college ball in the SEC for Sumrall. Think the new Florida head coach was happy to get the news? Thanks to On3's Blake Alderman, we've all been given an inside look at how things went down. Yeah, this is pretty dang awesome:

Cahron Wheeler commits to Florida in latest major recruiting win for Jon Sumrall

Get us all fired up, Mr. Wheeler! He sure did with Sumrall, as the Florida head man quite literally jumped up from his seat and right into Wheeler's arms. Then, plenty of other people followed suit, which had to be a pretty great feeling for the young defensive lineman and his family. There's also a good reason why Florida fans should be jacked up over this.

The 6-5, 265-pounder is ranked four stars, the No. 11 defensive lineman in the country, and No. 108 prospect nationally per the 247Sports Composite. He's also the 15th blue-chip pledge for the Gators, with that number being tops in the country. Throughout his recruitment, Wheeler picked up a total of 21 offers.

He ended up shutting down his recruitment and picking Florida over Clemson, Auburn, Tennessee, and many others. The Baltimore product was scheduled to visit Auburn on June 12 and the Vols on June 19, but it looks like Alex Golesh and Josh Heupel should not expect Wheeler to make his way to town after all.

With Wheeler now on board too, Sumrall and Florida are up to 20 pledges for the 2027 class, which is also ranked No. 5 in the country by 247Sports. The class is headlined by 5-star offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller, but Wheeler becomes the 10th four-star pledge for the haul. It's safe to say Sumrall is working wonders in landing big-time talent for Florida.

Could even more big news be on the way, though? This weekend, there are 13 official visitors in town, with six already committed now that Wheeler gave Sumrall the news he wanted. Still, there are seven more guys on campus who are yet to make their decisions, and the staff will be working overtime in trying to get them to commit. That'd be defensive lineman Amir Moore, defensive lineman Elijah Guertin, athlete Kamarion Johnson, wide receiver Trenton Yancey, safety Andre Hyppolite, safety Adryan Cole, and wide receiver Eric McFarland III.
