Billy Napier has decided he is done playing games with the class of 2026 and is unleashing the hounds to continue his ascent up the recruiting rankings. Florida has just been predicted to land four-star DB CJ Bronaugh after the Winter Garden native just decommitted from Nebraska.

If the prediction holds, Bronaugh would add to a growing list of prospects Napier has gained the commitment of in the past month.

Florida predicted to land CJ Bronaugh

Bronaugh is a consensus four-star, with 247 Sports having him the highest at 72nd overall. Listed at 6'1" and 175 pounds, Bronaugh had committed to Nebraska back in November, but Florida never gave up their pursuit.

He was in town a few weeks ago for his official visit, and if you want an idea of why the Gators are pursuing him, he is just as fast, if not faster, than current Florida WR Tank Hawkins.

Bronaugh won the 4A state title in Florida in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.34 seconds and ran a wind-aided 10.24 seconds at the Florida Relays in April.

When we profiled Bronaugh back in May, we said:

"On the turf, Bronaugh used his speed to return three of his six interceptions for touchdowns. He routinely undercuts and jumps routes, getting in a strong position for interceptions or breakups.

Bronaugh's speed is complemented by his lengthy frame and willingness to get physical. Bronaugh was physical at the catch point and successfully jockeyed with wideouts to make plays on the football or at least deny the pass-catcher access."

On3 has had multiple insiders from across multiple sites predict that Bronaugh is now on track to flip to the Gators after he decommitted from Nebraska on Tuesday.

After having just one commit in mid-May, Florida is up to 12 commits for the class of 2026, with other players also predicted to land with the Gators.
