This past weekend was quite the surge for the Florida Gators in recruiting, particularly in the trenches, and they might not be done just yet adding to their class of 2026.

Swamp247 has just logged a prediction that Florida is going to land four-star EDGE Trenton Henderson out of Pensacola.

Trenton Henderson makes QBs regret playing football

If Henderson does land with the Gators this week, he would become the 8th prospect to do so over the past week. As recently as a month ago, Billy Napier and crew were sitting with just one commit but have since flipped that narrative.

Along the defensive line specifically, Henderson would join JaReylan McCoy and Jamir Perez as recent commits to the Gators.

Henderson is a five-star, according to 247, and the other three major services have him as a higher-rated four-star. Back in February, when we first profiled Henderson, we said:

"Henderson is the type of player an opponent can game plan for, and it still might not matter. He can be you to the outside or the inside, and he can beat you even if you try to double-team him. On film when he gets to a QB he doesn't waste the opportunity to inflict pain.

His play recognition is also solid, as he doesn't overcommit to plays and will hold the edge as needed to make a play."

Henderson took his official visit to Florida after making visits to LSU and Michigan. He was slated to make a visit to Southern Cal, but he took to social media to say that was no longer happening. He instead is still going to take a visit to Texas this week, and as of now, he also has a visit planned with FSU.

The Gators currently have 12 prospects verbally committed for the class of 2026. They are ranked 23rd in the 247 Team Rankings and are 13th in the On3 Industry Rankings.
