Florida Volleyball looks to keep its hot streak going tonight as the Gators will travel to Tallahassee to take on FSU. Florida is currently on a five-game win streak and most recently dispatched of Troy in a straight-set victory. In fact, during this win streak, the Gators have only dropped one set total.
In the most recent game against Troy, it was Brooklyn Briscoe leading the way with 11 kills off 14 attempts for a tidy .714 attacking percentage. Alec Rothe also had a super efficient day with 10 kills of just 11 attempts.
Florida has crept up to No. 10 in the rankings, while FSU is 5-4 and unranked. Last Sunday, the Seminoles had a straight set loss to FIU.
Tonight’s game is at 7 PM and will be on the ACC Network.
Florida Soccer looks to break losing streak
Florida Soccer is currently on a two-game losing streak and they will look to rebound tonight when they take on Mississippi State at 7 PM in Starkville.
In their most recent outing, the Gators fell to South Carolina 1-0. Florida had their fair share of opportunities with 15 total shots in that game, but only three were on target, and the Gators had none on target in the second half.
The backdrop of tonight’s game is head coach Nick Zimmerman’s return to Starkville. He was an assistant for Mississippi State from 2019 through 2024, and then was elevated to head coach for the 2025 season. Florida hired Zimmerman after the 2025 season.
Coincidentally, Florida beat Zimmerman’s Mississippi State squad 2-1 last year.
Florida’s kicker winds up on the availability report
The initial availability report for Florida ahead of its matchup against Auburn had just two players on the list. Both Eric Singleton Jr. and Emmanuel Oyebadejo are considered questionable after injuries they sustained against FAU.
But on Thursday’s report, the Gators added kicker Patrick Durkin to the list. He is considered probable for Saturday.
It’s unclear what the issue is with Durkin.
Durkin transferred over from Tulane when Jon Sumrall took the job with the Gators. He has only had two field attempts to this point, both of which he made, including one from 53-yards.
Teams have until 90 minutes before kickoff to declare if a player is out or not.
