Now that the NCAA dead period is in effect for recruiting, the next task for Florida Football is to start lining up official visits for the summer. Over the past month, the Gators had a ton of prospects on campus for unofficial visits as part of Junior Days in Gainesville.

Official announcements for visits are starting to trickle out, and the Gators are going to get a visit from a four-star EDGE with Jacksonville ties who was part of an earlier Junior Day in January.

Florida Football: Size And Strength

Zavion Griffin-Haynes is an EDGE from North Carolina. Listed at 6'6" and 220 pounds, Griffin-Haynes is a consensus four-star, with Rivals having him the highest at 92nd overall, while 247 doesn't have him in their top 250.

Similar to what we highlighted with Tyson Bacon earlier in the week, Griffin-Haynes has a good read for the game beyond just being a straight-to-the-QB lineman.

On film, Griffin-Haynes keeps outside leverage well and is quick to peel off to sniff out a screen. His size is evident and should translate well to SEC play.

We probably would agree most with the 247 rankings right now as he doesn't quite have the level of explosiveness compared to someone like Trenton Henderson.

Griffin-Haynes does have roots in Jacksonville and is longtime friends with incoming Florida safety Hylton Stubbs. Based on a report from Steve Wiltfong of On3, Griffin-Haynes is slated to take an official visit to Gainesville in June. Georgia is another school he is slated to visit.

Ohio State, Notre Dame, Florida State, and North Carolina are also in pursuit of Griffin-Haynes, and it appears nothing has been settled regarding his final destination.

Florida currently has three members verbally committed to their class of 2026: QB Will Griffin, DB Jaelen Waters, and S Devin Jackson.
