5 under-the-radar Gators who quietly shined in Florida’s rout of Campbell

There were plenty of headlines to go around from Florida’s 52-3 win over Campbell. Jadan Baugh had another monster night, and Vernell Brown III had a hat trick with two punt returns for a TD to go along with a receiving touchdown.

But there are some other players who had solid nights that we want to make sure get their due credit as well. These are five under-the-radar performances from Saturday night.

Under-the-radar players from Florida’s win over Campbell

Dallas Wilson

Seemingly lost with the Baugh and VB3 highlighs is the fact that Dallas Wilson had six catches for 104 yards an a TD. For all the injury concerns Wilson has had heading into this season, he looked smooth and free on Saturday. And even if Eric Singleton Jr. takes a while to recover from his own ankle injury, a three-headed monster of Baugh, Brown, and Wilson is more than enough to cause headaches for opposing defenses.

Bailey Stockton

He didn’t have the biggest stat line, but he did have four catches for 41 yards. Where Stockton shined the most on Saturday was during the two punt return TDs from VB3. On the first one, he wound up side-by-side with Brown and showcased the power of friendship. What shouldn’t be missed on the 2nd TD was Stockton’s blocking efforts to clear the way for Brown.

Roderick Kearney

He did get called for a personal foul penalty, though even Jon Sumrall thought that was a bit ticky-tacky. Beyond that, he took another 31 snaps and rotated between both guard spots. Per PFF, he didn’t allow a single pressure, and he graded out as Florida’s best lineman in pass blocking.

J’Vari Flowers

Florida’s secondary continues to be an interesting point of discussion. They were more noticeably aggressive this week compared to last week, and a couple of the completions Campbell made early on Ben Hanks III and Cormani McClain were solid catches. But what stood out was that neither Hanks nor McClain made active plays on the ball while in coverage. That’s why J’Vari Flowers having three pass breakups by comparison is a notable talking point moving into Auburn.

Jeramiah McCloud

The defensive line had a productive enough night even though it wasn’t necessarily as explosive as perhaps we would have liked. On the inside, Jeramiah McCloud had a productive night with the 29 snaps he was given. McCloud had four total tackles and was credited with .5 of a sack, and he got his hand up to knock down a pass from Campbell.
