With fall camp set to get underway for Florida, most of the key cogs on offense for 2026 are established and have been written about at length. Jadan Baugh should get the bulk of the carries, while Vernell Brown III, Dallas Wilson, and Eric Singleton Jr. make up what should be one of the most formidable wide receiver trios in the country.
But there are a handful of players who haven’t been talked about as much who still could be key contributors once all is said and done. These are four under-the-radar players who could have key roles before the season ends.
Under-the-radar Gators who could still play a key role in 2026
Duke Clark - RB
With all the focus on Baugh, there hasn’t been much focus on RB2. And while Baugh should still get the bulk of the carries, there is still a pathway for Florida’s RB2 to get 5-8 carries a game.
This brings us to Duke Clark, who seemingly had the RB2 role coming out of spring camp ahead of transfer Evan Pryor. Clark got 15 carries last year as a true freshman. The Tampa native had good speed coming out of high school, and if he does win the job over Pryor, he should be a solid option as a change-of-pace back.
Micah Mays - WR
Probably the “breakout” player of spring camp, Micah Mays didn’t have a ton of buzz to him when he transferred in from Wake Forest. But his name kept popping up in camp, and he took advantage of the reps Dallas Wilson wasn’t able to take.
Mays wound up with 122 yards in the spring game with two touchdowns and if Wilson (or anyone else) had injury woes in 2026, don’t be shocked to see Mays get a look.
Bailey Stockton - WR
A similar profile to Mays, Bailey Stockton had a bit more buzz out of the portal because he was coming over from Georgia Tech and was familiar with the offense Buster Faulkner was set to run. Stockton has also battled injuries during his college career, so there is hope that if he can stay healthy, he can emerge as a threat.
Eagan Boyer - OL
The offensive line is the single biggest wildcard for the Gators in 2026, and Jon Sumrall has made it sound like there will be plenty of mixing and matching until they find a combination that works. Coming out of spring camp, transfer Emeka Ugorji had the inside track to be the starting left tackle.
Now Eagan Boyer still has a lot to prove, and his profile isn’t that much different than Ugorji. But Ugorji still has a lot to prove, and don’t be shocked if Boyer finds a way to make noise.
