Twitter reacts to Tim Tebow catching a “strike” from Trevor Lawrence
By Jeremy Klump
Former Florida Gators legend Tim Tebow is always a new story.
Tebow, who is arguably the greatest college football player of all time, and in my opinion, he is the greatest, was drafted in the first round by the Denver Broncos.
I do not need to tell you much about his time in the NFL, other than he was clearly a bust, though he did win a playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tebow’s failure in the NFL was hard to watch, but his transition to the MLB was even harder for me.
I believed that Tebow should have switched positions in the NFL to the New Orleans Saints’ Taysom Hill role a long time ago, but I finally got my wish in 2021.
Tim Tebow is going to thrive in that role.
Tebow is one of the best goal-line running quarterbacks I have ever seen, and if the Jaguars use Tebow like the Saints use Hill, I think he will succeed.
His biggest hurdle to make the Jaguars is mastering the tight end position. However, I would not count out Tebow making the team. He is one of the hardest-working people in the world, and he is clearly giving it his all to make his NFL comeback complete.
He started hot in training camp, as Sports Illustrated’s Jaguar Report’s John Shipley tweeted that “Trevor complete another strike up the seem and splits defenders to… Tim Tebow!”
This tweet got a lot of attention, and that is because Tebow fans want to see him make the team.
The replies were great, and here are some of the best ones:
There were some hate tweets and some hilariously inappropriate ones that I cannot share in this article. Regardless, there was a big reaction to Tebow’s first big play at the Jaguars training camp.
If Tebow can keep making notable plays, it will be hard for the Jaguars to cut him when they finalize their roster.
