As if my excitement for the 2021 college football season wasn’t already through the roof, the SEC on CBS schedule was announced. It featured the most anticipated Florida Gators’ regular-season game.

That game is on September 18, 2021, and will be at 3:30 PM EST on CBS, featured as CBS’ SEC Game of the Week.

The defending National Champions and powerhouse Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to Gainesville, Florida, to take on the Gators in one of the biggest games of the 2021 college football season.

The Gators will “Pack the Swamp,” and they will be catching Alabama early, which could bode well for Florida. Though, it is worth noting that Florida has not beaten Alabama since December 6, 2008.

Florida has lost seven games in a row, and an eighth straight loss would tie their longest losing streak ever against the Crimson Tide.

Will the Florida Gators finally beat Alabama in 2021?

I do not see Alabama winning eight in a row against Florida, and now knowing this game will also be the SEC Game of the Week on CBS makes me feel even better. Florida will be the underdog, but they will have a lot of advantages in this game.

Having a packed stadium and an elite home-field advantage will be huge. The 2020 season just wasn’t the same, so Alabama will be entering dangerous territory playing a huge game in a packed stadium for the first time in over a year. That home-field advantage will play a factor in the Gators defeating Alabama, but the biggest factor will be quarterback Emory Jones.

We have raved bout Jones all offseason, and fans should expect a monster season from him. He has waited his turn to shine, and what better way to show the nation he is an elite quarterback than an upset victory against Alabama live on CBS at 3:30 PM EST.
