No. 1: Florida football fans should be excited about quarterback Emory Jones

I have been hyping quarterback Emory Jones up for two seasons now, and it is finally his time to shine in Gainesville. I truly believe that Jones will be an elite college quarterback, especially in Mullen’s scheme. Running quarterbacks thrive in Mullen’s offense, and Jones is one of the best running quarterbacks I have ever seen.

There is something about the way he feels out the run game that makes him special. He runs with patience and has an elite burst when he finds his hole. Having a quarterback that can run in college is such an underrated threat. Jones will keep defensive coordinators up at night, as they try to scheme against his elite rushing abilities.

Jones’ hype has started to really build this offseason, and some think he could be a top 10 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and many others are saying he will have a big year with Mullen as his head coach.

I believe Jones can be great because even though he is a running quarterback, he has a fantastic arm. He has great arm strength and solid accuracy. If Jones can progress even more as a passer this offseason, and he will, fans should expect a big year from their signal-caller.
