3. Kalija Lipscomb, wide receiver

The player Vanderbilt gets back this week — and the biggest offensive threat to Florida football, sans Vaughn — is wide receiver Kalija Lipscomb.

Lipscomb returns to the Commodores after not playing against South Carolina. Mason gave no reason why the returning leader in receptions in the SEC was in uniform but did not play.

This season, Lipscomb is tied for 17th in the SEC on receiving yards (377) and has just two receiving touchdowns.

Regardless, he is the biggest threat in the passing game to the Florida football secondary. He may only stand at 6-foot-1, but he is fast off the ball and can create space if a safety or corner is caught napping.

However, the biggest advantage for Florida football is the fact that Lipscomb is really the only serious threat downfield for Vanderbilt.

But, because Vaughn is dangerous catching passes out of the backfield, Florida’s defense would do well to not play a soft zone against Lipscomb and maybe even bump him at the line.
