4. Dimitri Moore, linebacker

As Vanderbilt’s offense isn’t very good, it’s defense is a little better.

The secondary may only have three interceptions, but one of those went back for a touchdown.

The leader of this group would have to be junior inside linebacker Dimitri Moore. Moore leads the Commodores with 62 tackles this season.

The biggest problem with the Commodores is they are slow to adjust defensively (sound familiar?). Their secondary isn’t very experienced, tall or fast — as least compared to Florida football.

But, Moore has a tendency to be where he’s supposed to in order to make tackles. He wraps up well and can help to keep players like Kyle Pitts, Van Jefferson or Freddie Swain from getting a lot of extra yards after the catch.
