Georgia at Vanderbilt

When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 at Nashville, Tennessee (Vanderbilt Stadium)

How to watch: SEC Network with Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic.

Outlook: The No. 3 Bulldogs will make the trek north to take on Vanderbilt with heavy expectations. Those expectations include winning the SEC East and challenging Alabama for the league title. Oh, and don’t forget a national title on top of that.

Jake Fromm returns to lead the Bulldog offense after tallying a completion percentage of 67.3 last season. Junior running back D’Andre Swift returns to the backfield after a 1,000-yard season a year ago.

Vanderbilt is, well Vanderbilt.

Their quarterback is still a bit up in the air as redshirt junior Deuce Wallace continues to compete with graduate transfer Riley Neal. But, the Commodores return 83% of its scoring from last year.

Outlook: I just don’t see Vanderbilt’s defense containing Georgia’s offense. I also don’t see Vanderbilt’s offense doing a whole lot against Georgia’s defense.
