The future looks very bright with Florida Gators QB DJ Lagway at the helm. The freshman ends the 2024 season as everything that was advertised to be and more.

Hopefully, we will see the play from the Gators the last few weeks for a full season as the Gators are going bowling with another win for Billy Napier. The Gators have ended the 2024 season with a 7-5 record and a three-game winning streak going into next season as they blow out the Florida State Seminoles around the defense playing championship-caliber tonight as the Gators Defense gets eight sacks and five fumbles.

Now remember the 2025 schedule will be very similar to this season as we swap games home and away:

Home Games: Florida State, Texas, USF, Tennessee, Miss State & LIU Away Games: Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss, LSU, TAMU

2025 can be a very winnable season for the Gators if they can learn from their mistakes from this season and come out to play like they have the last few weeks of late. This might be a very different Gators team if Billy Naiper can continue the path that he is on right now and clean up some of the unforced errors that plagued Florida to start the season.

Not all is forgiven, but it will be an excellent start on that path if we can keep the Gators playing at the level they have since the LSU game.

Florida will lose a handful of players via the NFL Draft, but on the recruiting side, it looks like the Gators have flipped the script and got a handful of good newcomers that have flipped their commitments, and via the transfer portal, Napier has a solid chance to redeem himself to the Florida faithful.

The win over Florida State laid the foundation for building this program back to its former glory, and as we posted last month, Florida fans deserved a better product on that field and were very critical of Napier.

Over the last month, we've slowly started to see a change and a glimmer of hope that Florida will go back to being a force to reckon with on and off the field.
