Early On Thursday Afternoon, we've learned that Head Coach Billy Napier will not be fired per Florida AD Scott Stricklin as posted by the Florida Gators Official X (Twitter) Account.

Napier has changed the team around within the last few weeks and things have slowly gotten a bit better. Players have been trying to rally behind Napier and show they have not given up on their coaching staff, which is good, but the majority of us feels this is a tad too late to make a difference as the Gators are sitting at 4-4.

While most of the fanbase would agree with that as we don't willingly promote the fact we want our program to be in a losing culture, however the flipside of this is would mean we want people who are capable of doing this job and willing to make those changes when they see things are not going to plan.

So, let's take a look at the facts and data. The following is from 1990 to now and tell me If you see what I see..

It's very clear that both Florida AD Scott Stricklin & HC Billy Napier need to let go of their duties effect immediately following the final game against arch in state rival Florida State.

Head Coach Billy Napier is historically the worst Head Coach in Program's history (Interim Head Coaches between hirings does not count toward this). This is not acceptable, and yet instead of doing the right thing and biting the bullet and moving on, Stricklin is clearly sending the message that the University of Florida is content with being a mediocre football program instead of being what once was one of the most feared programs in all of college football. Napier is the only coach thus far have no winning record of any kind while the head coach at Florida.

There has been some pretty awful teams after Urban Meyer left Florida but here is a few facts to consider. What all six of the previous head coaches have in common is they do not have a losing record nor a losing record against rivals.

I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of watching the program I love and give my all to, be torn down and destroyed by an Athletic Director who's Alma Mater is an SEC Rival School (of sorts).

Losing might be a culture that is acceptable at Mississippi State, but it is not acceptable at the University of Florida and things need to change one way or another. Scott Stricklin has alienated this fanbase to believe if they don't keep pumping money into a losing product then they are bad fans.

Now, Don't get me wrong, There has been times where it would seem like we're going on the right path but then a lot of the time we're sitting here with a "WTF" look on our faces and saying how stupid are you to miss this/that.

It's just a fact that losing, having bad days, making mistakes, being out played and out coached is all part of the game and we for the most part can deal with this because its part of the game of football and in life, in general. No words are ever more so true then these few famous sports quotes.

"It’s not the will to win that matters—everyone has that. It’s the will to prepare to win that matters."
Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
Michael Jordan
"You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take."
Wayne Gretzky
"If a guy doesn't work hard and doesn't play well, he can't lead anything. All he is, is a talker."
Hall of Fame Coach John Madden

All of these quotes are all quite different and inspiring but they all have one thing in common, however. Practicing what you preach and both Scott Stricklin & Billy Napier have failed to do what they have promised to Gator Nation.

Gator Nation deserves better then this.
