It’s week two of college football, and this week’s slate in the SEC is a bit more interesting than the Week One slate. The irony is that Florida is playing their FCS game this week against Campbell, which means from a national perspective, the Gators have the least interesting game in the SEC this week.
But there are 14 other games featuring SEC teams this week, and this is our highly unofficial watch guide that ranks the most skippable game to the one Florida fans need to watch.

Florida fans SEC watch guide for Week Two
14. Louisiana Tech at No. 8 LSU: 7:30 p.m., SECN+, LSU -35.5.
After what LSU did to Clemson, there is no telling what LSU is going to do to Louisiana Tech. Considering Florida doesn’t play LSU this year and this game is at the same time as another notable game, this is the most skippable game.
13. Towson at South Carolina: 7 p.m., SECN+, South Carolina -43.5.
South Carolina was actually more effective last week than we would have expected. But while Florida will play USC later, this is at the same time as Florida’s game, and this one shouldn’t be close.
12. Charlotte at No. 9 Ole Miss: 7:45 p.m., ESPN2, Ole Miss -47.5.
Like the LSU game, this one shouldn’t be close. It is actually shocking how bad Charlotte is, and considering this runs up against other primetime games.
11. Delaware at Vanderbilt: 4:15 p.m., SEC Network, Vanderbilt -21.
Given Vanderbilt’s struggles in week one, this has a chance to be close and falls in a window where Florida fans could catch the first half. But beyond that, there won’t be much to see here.
10. Western Kentucky at No. 2 Georgia: 12:45 p.m., SEC Network, Georgia -40.5.
It shouldn’t be too close, but at least it falls in a time slot that allows for a bit of hate-watching before looking for other games.
9. Southern Miss at Auburn: 7:45 p p.m., SEC Network, Auburn -33.5.
While Florida does play Auburn next week, this game runs up against some other more interesting games and isn’t expected to be close.
8. No. 18 Tennessee at Georgia Tech: 7 p.m., ESPN, Tennessee -12.5.
If this game was in a different timeslot it could be ranked higher, but the problem is that is runs during a crowded primetime slot that will have some other options.
7. Mississippi State at Minnesota: 3:30 p.m., CBS, Minnesota -1.5.
This has a chance to actually be one of the closest games of the day, and it falls in a favorable time slot. The problem is that it features two teams Florida fans otherwise don’t care about.
6. Arkansas at No. 20 Utah: 10:15 p.m., ESPN, Utah -12.5.
Like the previous game, this could be a sneaky good game to watch, and it is a solid late-night option once fans get home from The Swamp, but it also features two teams Florida fans otherwise don’t care about.
5. Arizona State at No. 10 Texas A&M: Noon, ABC, Texas A&M -14.5.
Florida won't play Texas A&M this year, but this is a solid noon option as Arizona State tries to reclaim its magic from two years ago.
4. No. 12 Alabama at Kentucky: 3:30 p.m., ABC, Alabama -10.5.
This is a sneaky line that hints Kentucky can keep things closer than one may think. And considering Kentucky is one of the teams Florida fans have chalked up as a win, this is worth keeping an eye on.
3. No. 11 Oklahoma at Michigan: Noon, FOX, Oklahoma -5.5.
After the Michigan debacle last week, it’s surprising that this line is only 5.5 points. Given its timeslot and that Oklahoma may be one of the games that defines Florida’s season, this is one of the bigger games of the day to check out.
2. No. 23 Missouri at Kansas: Friday, 8 p.m., FOX, Missouri -5.5.
For those of us in the Sunshine State, we don’t think much about this rivalry. But rest assured that these are two fanbases that have the same level of venom that Florida and Georgia has. It’s in a favorable timeslot and Florida’s game against Missouri is one of the sneaky games this year.
1. No. 1 Ohio State at No. 4 Texas: 7:30 p.m., ABC, Texas -1.5.
No shocker here, as this is the heavyweight matchup of the weekend. Given the start time of the Gator game, fans will have plenty of time to switch over and watch the bulk of this one.
