After winning it all in San Antonio last money, roster attrition for Florida Basketball is expected to happen over the next. Now that the official celebrations are done, the Gators need to start working on their official roster for the 2025/26 season.

And today, the Gators officially learned that one of their reserve guards will be hitting the transfer portal in hopes of more playing time.

Florida Basketball: Off To The Portal

Sophomore guard Kajus Kublickas is off to the transfer portal, according to Jeff Goodman of Field of 68.

The Kaunas, Lithuania native came to Florida as a freshman in 2023 and made nine appearances during his freshman campaign.

With the additions of Alijah Martin and Urban Klavzar last offseason, Kublickas wasn't able to crack the rotation this past season either. He appeared in just six games this season and had not seen the court since he got in for three minutes against Oklahoma on February 18.

The 6'2" guard does have a reputation as a solid three-point shooter and has international experience in the FIBA European Championships.

On paper, Florida will be looking at Klavzar and Denzel Aberdeen to step up in 2025/26, along with Isaha Brown and whatever transfer portal finds the Gators go out and grab.

The Gators will lose Walter Clayton Jr., Will Richard, and Martin due to graduation and will have to see whether or not Alex Condon and Thomas Haugh stick around or make the leap to the NBA Draft. Condon declared over the weekend that he would go through the predraft process, but he does have until June to pull himself out of the NBA Draft and return to Florida.

Clayton went through the predraft process last year before returning to Gainesville.

Florida beat Houston 65-63 last Monday to win its third national title in program history.
