There's a lot of discussion about where many Florida Gators are going to go in this weekend's NFL Draft. For many weeks, it looked like defensive tackle Caleb Banks was going to be a first-round pick, but injury concerns are creeping up and, even though the recent news is good on that front, the questions remain.
But what about some other Gators that could have their name called Friday night? NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah has Austin Barber and Devin Moore both in the top 100 of his top 150 prospects.
Had @JuMosq hype up Florida OT Austin Barber so I took a look. And I get it.

Barber comes in on Jeremiah's list at No. 96 and Moore is in at 100th. Jeremiah's list is his own opinion, but he's pretty in tune with the front offices and the scouts around the league, so this projection could be a sign that both players can creep into the second day.
Two former Gators could sneak into Day 2 of the NFL Draft
Moore is such an intriguing NFL prospect because he's got the size and his ball skills grade out pretty high. His height and ability to track balls makes me wonder if there is a move to safety down the road. One issue that has continued to haunt Moore is the injuries. His workout on Pro Day wasn't sterling either, with a reported 4.50 40-yard dash putting him among the slower times for a corner.Â
Whereas Moore is going to be drafted more on his tools and potential, Barber is more of a "safe" pick and a known quantity. He has played a LOT of football over the past five seasons at Florida. Barber has 35 starts to his name, many at left tackle, and has appeared in 46 games overall. He's been healthy the past two seasons and should give any team immediate help as a swing tackle.Â
There could be other surprises that go either way. Banks is No. 51 on Jeremiah's big board, a sharp fall from his peak at 36. And also center Jake Slaughter is on the board at No. 127, and he could receive a late boost after Mel Kiper Jr. showed him some love recently and placed him on his watch list.
