Monday has become the day when those on Florida’s roster intending to hit the transfer portal made it public. The biggest name to announce he was leaving was DJ Lagway, but he was far from the only team member to announce his intentions.

As it stands right now, here are the other Gators who announced they would hit the portal once it opens in January.

KD Daniels

A member of the class of 2024, KD Daniels was the main running back Florida was going to bring in that year before flipping Jadan Baugh late in the cycle. We really liked Daniels coming out of high school and thought he had the vision traits needed to succeed in the SEC.

But injuries didn’t help his cause in Gainesville, and Florida’s deep runningback room made it tough to break through. He ended 2025 with 120 yards off 28 carries and one TD.

Daniels will have three years of eligibility left.

Amir Jackson

Another highly touted member of the class of 2024, Amir Jackson was also emblematic of the conundrum of the Billy Napier Era. For an offense that was extremely tight-end heavy, Jackson just never found a way to get featured during his two years in Gainesville.

Over two seasons, Jackson had three total catches and was targeted just seven times despite playing 150 snaps.

Jackson will also have three years of eligibility.

Jordan Castell

Given that Jordan Castell has been a mainstay starter for Florida over the past three years and has racked up over 2,000 total snaps, this one is maybe the most surprising. It also has the feeling of Sumrall wanting to look in a different direction.

Castell didn’t come to Florida as highly touted as some others, but he was quickly entrenched in the starting rotation. Relatively passive play defined his time as a Gator and his PFF grade got worse each year at Florida.

Castell will have one season of eligibility left.
