Haven't Florida football fans suffered enough this year? Just about everything has gone wrong for the program following the season-opening win against Long Island University, with three straight losses being posted. Now, it feels like a major loss recruiting wise could potentially be on the way.
Back in June, 4-star running back Carsyn Baker committed to the Gators in what was a major win for the Florida staff. However, it's looking like he might have a change of heart. That's because he'll be back in Florida this weekend, but not to watch the Gators take on Texas. Instead, he's taking an official visit to Tallahassee to meet with the Florida State staff. Yeah, this is not good:

4-star Florida commit Carsyn Baker is taking a Florida State visit this weekend
Steve Wiltfong broke the news of the Baker visit and it understandably has the Florida faithful a bit concerned. Baker is one of the top running backs in the country, ranked the No. 14 RB for the 2026 class according to the 247Sports Composite.
Just about every single major program in the country has extended a scholarship his way, with the 6-0, 195-pounder picking up 54 offers throughout his recruitment. Yeah, that's a wild amount of schools to put a tender on the table for him.
Baker originally had a final five of Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Georgia and Clemson, but the Gators were able to come out on top. It looks like Mike Norvell and the Seminoles haven't stopped reaching out to him and now they're ready to send things over the top this weekend.
Florida State sure is picking a smart weekend to get Baker in town, as the Noles are hosting Miami in what's easily one of the best games on the Saturday schedule. Doak Campbell Stadium is going to be rockin' and the atmosphere should be incredible. If all goes to plan, that atmosphere will help Florida State change Baker's mind, but Napier and Florida will be hoping the opposite turns out to be the case.
