As the Lane Kiffin Bowl, otherwise known as Florida vs. Ole Miss, gets underway, the reality is that the spotlight on this game has nothing to do with what is going to happen on the field. Sure, an Ole Miss win all but locks up a playoff berth while Florida is just trying to keep its own bowl chances alive, but the real drama is whether or not Lane Kiffin is going to depart Oxford and come to Gainesville.
As we here at Hail Florida Hail have said all along, maybe he comes, maybe he doesn't, but time and time again, Kiffin finds a way to respond to the narrative surrounding him while simultaneously saying nothing at all.
Lane Kiffin says to stop glazing him
Barstool Sports personality Brandon Walker took to his podcast Unneecarry Roughness and the topic of Kiffin came up. Walker responded to the allegations that he personally would like Kiffin out at Ole Miss and would like him to take the Florida job.
To paraphrase some NSFW language, Walker said, "Yeah, one of the best coaches in college football is at our rival."
Walker is a noted Mississippi State fan.
This is where Kiffin left a comment on the post simply saying:
"Stop glazing."
For those of you who are not young and hip, that essentially means "Hey man, stop saying all these nice things about me."
Stop glazing.

What Kiffin didn't say was, "Hey man, I'm going to be in Oxford for a long time."
It goes back to the interview he did with Yahoo, where he claimed Ole Miss is "Maybe the last chapter." It goes back to every time the topic of Florida comes up, and he tries to deflect and claim he is focused on closing out the 2025 season. At this point, Kiffin has said everything except that he is coming back to Ole Miss.
The longer this has dragged on, the confidence from Ole Miss fans has been less and less.
Ole Miss has a bye week after today's game, and there is some belief that it will be a now-or-never week for Kiffin to make a decision.
Kiffin knows everyone is talking about him, and he has yet to do anything to stop that.
