Prior to the start of the season, Billy Napier boldly declared to "Spot the ball" in reference to the daunting schedule the Florida Gators had ahead of them in 2025.
That phrase held water for all of one game as the Gators were upset by USF in week two and DJ Lagway threw five interceptions in route to losing to LSU in week three.
As numerous Gator fans want to see Napier be removed as head coach of Florida, one of the prime candidates to replace him took to Instagram for a bit of a troll job on Saturday.

On a post on his Instagram story that was later posted on X by David Soderquist of Hightop Sports, Lane Kiffin took a selfie in his car with the caption "Spot the Ball."

Ole Miss is facing Tulane on Saturday, so it's not an opponent Ole Miss should lose to, but Florida could have said the same thing against USF.
This isn't the first time Kiffin has thrown some shade towards Florida. His ex-wife, Layla Reaves, is the daughter of former Florida Gator legend John Reaves. The couple had three kids together, and their children have been spotted in Gator gear in the past.
Among the notable shades Lane Kiffin has thrown Florida's way in the past was tweeting out a Tom Petty playlist after getting then Florida commit Austin Simmons to flip to Ole Miss.
Of course, Napier could clap back that when Florida and Ole Miss actually spotted the ball in 2024, it was Florida knocking Ole Miss out of the playoffs, in part because Kiffin thought it was a good idea to run his defensive tackle towards the edge on multiple 4th and 1's.
If Napier is still the coach of the Florida Gators come November, Napier and Kiffin will get to meet up again with another shot to spot the ball for real.
