Eventually, it will be easier to list the schools that aren't interested in Jadan Baugh if he enters the transfer portal.
There's already been word that Ohio State is interested. And Texas is so interested in Baugh, it hired former Gators running backs coach Jabbar Juluke to help with the potential recruitment. Now we can officially add Georgia to the mix, according to reports from Zach Abolverdi from GatorsOnline/On3.
#Georgia has emerged as a potential landing spot for Florida RB Jadan Baugh if he enters the transfer portal, per Zach Abolverdi of GatorsOnline. (@1010xljax)

No one should be surprised by this. Georgia has been rumored to be interested in Baugh since the end of the season and the rumblings about Baugh possibly moving on from Florida began. Despite all of these rumors, Baugh hasn't officially made an announcement either way and new Gators coach Jon Sumrall had stated that he plans on trying to do everything he can to retain Baugh on the roster.
If Baugh jumps into the portal, the sophomore is going to be one of the top offensive skill players in the portal. He rushed for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns this season while hauling in 33 passes. His 266-yard performance against Florida State was a showcase of his physical running style and ability to handle high volume.
Georgia has come lurking for Gator running backs before. Does Trevor Etienne ring a bell?
The reality of the situation feels bleak for now
With this many rumors surrounding Baugh it feels like him entering the transfer portal is a mere formality at this point. And once he's on the market, the Gators can't stop him from going where he wants.
Florida is going to probably have to move on and right now the Gators running back room is basically empty and Sumrall still hasn't hired a position coach. Once the coach is hired, assuming it happens before the opening of the transfer window on January 2, that will open the door to some possibilities.
Sumrall might look to bring freshman Javin Gordon with him from Tulane. Gordon, who rushed for over 500 yards last season, probably isn't a full-time starter in the SEC, but could provide depth at the position and familiarity with some of the coaching staff.
But as of right now, the next great Florida Gator running back probably isn't on the roster.
