For a guy who has yet to make an announcement about his future, Gators running back Jadan Baugh has been the subject of a lot of rumors.
If Baugh, who had 266 yards and two touchdowns against Florida State to walk off the 2025 season, chose to enter the transfer portal, he could have a strong market waiting for him. That market could include the Ohio State Buckeyes, according to the Gainesville Sun's Zach Abolverdi.

Well, this would be a tough pill to swallow for Jon Sumrall and the new Gators coaching staff. Roster turnover was expected and is happening at a rapid pace, but there are a few players that one would think the new staff would put a priority on trying to retain. Baugh is likely one of those players after putting up a 1,170-yard season.
Baugh's running style would seem to fit exactly what Jon Sumrall wants. He's a physical back that doesn't shy away from contact and has shown he can get stronger and wear down defenses as the game goes on. He had 38 carries against Florida State and in those final 10-12 carries it was clear that the Seminoles' defense wanted no part of tackling the 230-pound bruiser.
Has Baugh spoken about his future plans yet?
Not really. The last time Baugh spoke in front of the media was after the Florida State game, and he deflected questions about his future, choosing to enjoy the moment instead.
"I haven't too much thought about it. It was more about finishing the season and being here with my guys because we've been here since day one," Baugh said. "I'm never focused on future things. I'm always focused on the moment because life is short. Focusing on the moment and everything that's in front of me, I feel like that's the way to go."
Since then, several Gators have announced their plans to enter the transfer portal, including quarterback DJ Lagway. There hasn't been word of when and how much Sumrall and Baugh have talked, but the incoming coach said in a recent interview that retaining Baugh is a high priority.
