It has felt like, at times, that former Florida Gator star and current Kansas City Royals right fielder Jac Caglianone was cursed since being called up to the Big Leagues. After ripping through the minor leagues, Caglianone had some at-bats with the Royals, where he was smashing the ball with exit velocities over 95 MPH but wasn't getting rewarded with hits.

On Thursday, he finally put it all together and hit not just his first career home run, but he made it twice as nice and hit two home runs in a 4-1 win over Texas.

His first career home run came in the 2nd inning. On a 2-2 count, Texas pitcher Jacob Latz challenged Caglianone with a fastball above the zone, and the end result was a 387-foot blast over the right field fence.

Just to prove it wasn't a fluke, Caglianone came back in the 9th inning, took the first pitch from Robert Garcia, and sent it even further for a 439-foot blast over the right field fence to make it 4-1 in favor of Kansas City.

Gator fans, Royals fans, and just general baseball fans all took to social media to erupt and celebrate the first two home runs of Caglianone's career.

With the two home runs, Caglianone is up to 12 hits since being called up to the MLB and has four RBIs. His batting average is "just" .218 and an OPS of .596, but as Thursday showcased he has the tools to be successful, he just has to start getting rewarded.
