It's Florida's second bye week before the stretch run in November, which means Gator fans have a chance to attend fall festivals or anything else they have been putting off while watching Billy Napier flounder.
But since Napier is now gone and the coaching search is in full swing, here are some games that Florida fans should pay attention to if they are staying in to watch college football this Saturday.
Syracuse vs Georgia Tech - 12 PM
Georgia Tech coach Brent Key has been a name that has been a dark-horse candidate to become Florida's next coach. He has the Yellowjackets at 7-0 this season and should be favored in every game they play the rest of the way until they play Georgia to close out the regular season.
Key would still have question marks, but what has impressed Florida fans is how organized his special teams have been in high-pressure situations.
USF vs Memphis - 12 PM
USF coach Alex Golesh seems to be down in the pecking order of potential coaches the Gators are targeting, but this game also has huge implications for the playoffs as a whole.
This game would have been the site of GameDay, but Memphis was stunned by UAB last week to squash that.
If USF wins this, the last remaining pothole between them and a regular-season American crown would be 6-0 Navy.
Ole Miss vs Oklahoma - 12 PM
Let's be real, everyone knows that Florida is trying to land Lane Kiffin. The rumors are so prevalent that Kiffin has to address them with his own team.
But beyond wanting Kiffin as Florida's next coach, the Ole Miss vs Oklahoma tilt has the feel of a playoff eliminator, especially for Oklahoma. If the Rebels win, it would require an epic collapse to miss the playoffs this season.
Missouri vs Vanderbilt - 3:30 PM
A game with seemingly similar stakes, this game will intrigue Florida fans because Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz keeps getting brought up as a candidate for the Florida job.
As we wrote, Drinkwitz has to prove he can actually beat top-ranked teams, and he is 1-8 against AP top ten teams since arriving at Missouri.
If Vanderbilt can win this one, they would just need to go 3-1 against Texas, Auburn, Kentucky, and Tennessee to find their way into the playoffs.
Boston College vs Louisville - 7:30 PM
This game should be a blowout, but Louisville coach Jeff Brohm is another name that keeps getting circulated as a potential plan B option for the Gators should Kiffin fall through.
And the more Florida fans look into Brohm, the more they seem to be coming around to the idea of being okay if he winds up being the pick in Gainesville.
