Just a few days ago, it was reported that Florida quarterback DJ Lagway had been seen wearing a walking boot around the Gators' campus.
Then, on Wednesday, the football team released a nine-second clip of Lagway back in action at practice, in full pads and without a walking boot.

In July, following a summer practice sesssion, Lagway had sported a boot to help alleviate the pain from a strained calf. However, he was back to practice well before the season kicked off.

Now, following the Gators' loss to the Miami Hurricanes, Lagway was supposedly back in a boot, yet he was able to practice and prepare for Florida's upcoming game against the Texas Longhorns. The best news, whether Lagway truly needed the boot or not, is that Florida and Texas don't play until Week 6, both having a bye this weekend.
Lagway's game against Miami was far from ideal. He completed just over 50 percent of his pass attempts for a minimal 61 yards and zero touchdowns. The young QB also lost eight yards on the ground as the Gators were bested 26-7 by the Canes.
However, Lagway played the entirety of the game, even attempting to run the ball as time ran out. So, it didn't appear that any injury had felled the quarterback in his latest matchup. Yet, on Monday, just two days after the game, he was spotted wearing a boot.
Earlier in the week, Florida head coach Billy Napier also shut down rumors that Lagway was injured, saying that he had been practicing since Sunday.
On October 4, when Florida hosts the Longhorns, Lagway will seemingly be in action, as long as the video that the Gators posted on social media holds true. Florida and Texas are scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET.
