Much like Jon Sumrall, I'm not a big uniform guy. The best look on the football field is the one that gets more points on the board than the opponent. I'm also not much of a college football traditionalist for anything except uniforms. The uniforms should be the uniforms. I don't mind a throwback week or something, but for the most part, the original is the best.
However, Oregon ruined everything and now all the teams have to be 2,500 different possible combinations and announce their uniform pairings for each game. And the Florida Gators are no different in that respect because the Gator uniform tracker, which is not affiliated with the football team, released the planned uniform combinations for each game.

Ok, there's a lot to unpack here, so let's get started:
The traditional Florida uniform combo is still the best
The orange helmet with the script "Gators", blue jerseys and white pants is a strong look and has been for a long time. On the road, the pants used to be orange all the time, but in the late 90s it went to mostly blue, and then it's switched back and forth.
These days I probably lean toward the blue pants over the orange on the road, but I can deal with it either way. The gear for Missouri and Texas is, in my opinion, the best road look. Florida will sport the traditional home uniform for FAU, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
For seven of the 12 games, the Gators will have the traditional look and that's fine.
The blue helmet is fine, but Florida should avoid all blue
I give a full-fledged NAY to the all-blue from head-to-toe look for the Oklahoma game. It's just too much for me. A blue helmet, blue jersey and white pants would be better in my opinion. The blue helmet, orange jersey and white pants for Campbell isn't my favorite, but it's Campbell, so it's a good time to try something a little different that would get the fans excited to see.

The Gators also wear the alternate blue helmet on the road against FSU, which is a blue helmet with white jersey and white pants. I bet that's going to look pretty sweet, but I would take it to the next level and go with a white helmet instead. That would look pretty nice.
Florida should keep the all white/all blue for FSU and Georgia
With the Gators going all white for FSU and Georgia, I would expect them to go with all-blue next season when the games are in Tampa and Gainesville respectively. It's good for a one-off look against the rivals.
The throwback look will be a little strange with the Gators wearing all white at home. I don't remember the last time Florida wore all white at home or if it's ever happened. There were the LSU games in 1998 and 2000 when they wore road uniforms at home against LSU to force the Tigers to wear their dark jerseys, but that was more of a Steve Spurrier troll job.
So, I guess it makes sense that they are wearing a road look at home while honoring the 60th anniversary of Spurrier's Heisman season.
