With the transfer portal opening up on Wednesday, there's always going to be some speculation on Florida football players potentially deciding to leave town. Thankfully, there's one running back in particular no one is going to have to worry about.

Seemingly out of nowhere, there was some buzz online that running back Treyaun Webb could be out the door and look to play elsewhere for the 2025 campaign. What in the world? However, Webb didn't waste any time in letting Gators fans know he's here to stay:

Florida RB Treyaun Webb shut down speculation he's going to transfer

This all started when Webb asked his followers if anyone knew of someone who could make a graphic for him. With the way announcements work these days, usually a graphic is made for someone entering the portal or committing to a new school. Webb has something else in mind, however, as he's going to keep suiting up for Billy Napier in what's going to be a crucial campaign.

A 5-11, 210-pounder, the Jacksonville product posted 21 carries for 93 yards and one touchdown last season. Webb appeared in only four games, suffering a season-ending tibia injury. He did not participate in the spring game either.

However, he continues to work around the clock to get himself back to 100 percent. The expectation is he'll be a full go for the start of the 2025 season. Jadan Baugh and Ja'Kobi Jackson are back, as the two posted 673 yards and 509 yards, respectively, last fall.

Those two figure to be the RB leaders for '25, but Webb is also going to be ready to make an impact as well. He's had to deal with injury adversity, but if anything, it has motivated him to return to Gainesville to live up to the expectations that were set on him. While Florida may lose some players this week, it's good to know Webb is staying put.
