Heading into Tuesday, things felt quiet for the Gators in their pursuit of landing guys out of the transfer portal. A couple of high-profile targets had gone elsewhere, and there was still the lingering doubt of whether Jadan Baugh would come back to Florida.

Ultimately, Baugh is the headliner for Tuesday after he announced he would return to Gainesville, but Florida also landed 11 players out of the transfer portal. And it’s the 11th player that they landed that is the splashiest addition to this point.

Emmanuel Oyebadejo commits to the Gators

Emmanuel Oyebadejo didn’t even start playing football until he was 19 years old, but the 6’7” and 295-pound defensive lineman from England quickly morphed into one of the more sought-after prospects in the transfer portal. He spent 2024 and 2025 with Jacksonville State, and while he didn’t play in 2024, he was one of the highest-rated defensive linemen in 2025.

He took 653 snaps this past season and was credited with 4.5 sacks and 41 total tackles to go along with 26 QB hurries in his first full season of college football.

As Oyebadejo hit the transfer portal, it wasn’t just Florida that tried to land him. Oyebadejo also took a visit to Texas A&M but ultimately opted to sign with the Gators.

Oyebadejo’s addition now creates an EDGE group that is for sure going to have Kamran James, LJ McCray, and incoming freshman KJ Ford. Florida is still trying to bring Jayden Woods back from the transfer portal, though it is unclear how much of an actual chance the Gators have to keep in him in Gainesville.

He joins ten other players who committed to Florida so far:

Eagan Boyer (OT, Penn State), Alec Clark (P, Tulane), DJ Coleman (DB, Baylor), Lacota Dippree (TE, James Madison), Patrick Durkin (K, Tulane), DK Kalu (DL, Baylor), Aaron Philo (QB, Georgia Tech), Evan Pryor (RB, Cincinnati), TJ Shanahan Jr. (OL, Penn State), and Bailey Stockton (WR, Georgia Tech).
