Little by little, it would appear that Jon Sumrall is gaining momentum with his inaugural full recruiting class at Florida. The Gators hosted a ton of top-rated prospects over the weekend, and almost all of them commented on the pure energy that Sumrall and Florida seem to have right now.

Florida is also seemingly in a position to grab a highly rated wide receiver out of Miami’s backyard.

Anthony Jennings III is projected to commit to Florida

Anthony Jennings III is a wide receiver out of Fort Lauderdale. Listed at 5’11” and 160 pounds, he is a four-star prospect with Rivals and ESPN, while 247 has him as a three-star.

On film, Jennings is a pure playmaker who no one seems to be able to bring down. What stands out with Jennings is just his sheer balance and ability to stay upright to keep going. It’s a massive reason why of his 34 catches in 2025 with Dillard High, 11 resulted in a touchdown, and he had a yards per catch of 24.2.

Jennings does have some speed to him as well. It’s not crazy blinding speed, but he does have a wind aided 100-meter dash personal best of 10.86 seconds, and he was on the Dillard High 4 X 100 squad that placed 3rd in the Florida 3A state championships last season. If teams try to press Jennings and miss, he will burn them over the top.

Both Chad Simmons of Rivals and Corey Bender of Gators Online have filed a prediction that Jennings is going to eventually commit to Florida.

Jennings has summer visits lined up with Georgia, Auburn, and FSU in addition to Florida.

As it stands right now, the Gators have two verbal commits for their class of 2027, but they have been gaining momentum on a number of prospects, and we suspect more and more predictions are going to start flooding in soon.
