The class of 2026 for the Florida Gators has yet to kick into gear. Florida has just two verbal commits but is hoping they can gain ground with visits taking place over the next month.
One prospect they have had their eye on for a while is down to his final five and Florida is hoping they can keep him in the Sunshine State.
Florida Football in Final Five for Chancellor Campbell
Chancellor Campbell is an offensive tackle from St. Petersburg listed at 6'6" and 270 pounds on On3 and 6'8" and 295 pounds on 247. He is a consensus three-star prospect across all four major sites.
On film, there is a hint of a mean streak to Campbell. He is not afraid to play through to the whistle to drive his guy into the ground. He also has some decent feet to him and does well when guys try spin moves and other techniques to try and get past him.
He doesn't necessarily rag doll guys, and for now, the three-star ranking is fair. But if his size listed on 247 is accurate, he could slowly start to be one of the more hidden gems in this class.
Campbell has visited Florida a ton, and the common belief is that the Gators are in the lead to try and land him. He just dropped his Final Five with Florida, Colorado, Georgia, Penn State, and Ohio State on the list.
He is slated to take his official visit to Gainesville in June, which will be followed by visits to Ohio State and Penn State.
Campbell isn't going to be the type of headline-grabbing offensive tackle that fans have yearned for in the Billy Napier Era. But there is an upside to him, and if given time to develop, he can become an SEC-sized tackle within a couple of years and be a solid contributor.
