As the saying goes, “Gator Boys (Legend) Stay Hot!” That’s exactly what the University of Florida legend did for the fourth day in a row on Friday night with the Omaha Storm Chasers.

Caglianone knocked his first Triple-A home run out of the park on Thursday night and entered Friday's game hitting .321 with a three-game hitting streak. So what did Caglianone do? He stayed hot and kept that going, going 1-for-3 with a walk, four RBIs, and a run scored.

Caglianone ignited his night in the first inning by knocking a three-run home run deep over the right field fence that scored three to give Omaha an early lead over the Bees. It was a 431-foot shot and his second home run in two days, going yard back-to-back days and taking his hit streak to four games.

His home run on Friday night was 111.6 MPH at a 28 degree launch angle.

Later in the fifth, he hit a sacrifice fly to center field that scored one. It was his second go-ahead hit of the night, driving in his fourth RBI of the night as well.

Caglianone hit nine home runs in 38 games in Double-A, he’s on track currently to beat that in less than two weeks at the Triple-A level.

When might Florida great Jac Caglianone get called up?

The Royals have said from the start that they want to take things slow with Caglianone and allow him the proper development time, but after the way he hit in Double-A and now the way he’s hitting in Triple-A, one would have to think that his time is coming. As a batter with an athletic swing that can adjust his swing path while maintaining his quick swing, he is slated to do well against Major League pitching.

The Storm Chasers ended up dropping game four to the Bees 11-10 in a back-and-forth game that came down to the bottom of the 9th.

As the Storm Chasers and Salt Bees continue their series on Saturday, all eyes will be on what Caglianone will continue to do as he makes a case to get that final call-up a lot quicker than he was probably expecting. If he keeps performing the way he is, he could hear his name called within weeks.

Lacrosse falls in Final Four to UNC

Then the avalanche came and things went off the rails for Florida in a way they weren't able to get back.

North Carolina proceeded to go on an 18-0 run and win the game 20-4 to end Florida's season. At heart of what doomed Florida was after going three for six on Draw Controls in the 1st quarter, the Gators only won four of the next 21 faceoffs.
