One of the things that has just been a fact of life for the Florida Gators during the Billy Napier Era has been the slow and steady approach to recruiting. It's been common for Florida to be near the bottom of recruiting rankings in March, April, and May and then start their accent up the rankings.

That process is starting to play out again, and Florida got some good news on Tuesday as they landed the verbal commitment of a four-star safety we profiled earlier this week.

Kaiden Hall commits to the Florida Gators

The Gators have landed four-star safety Kaiden Hall. He announced on social media after taking his official visit to Gainesville this past weekend.

Florida had been in a battle with Alabama to land Hall, with FSU loosely in the picture as well. His commitment wasn't a surprise as Florida has had Hall on their radar since his freshman year, and he has made plenty of stops in Gainesville over the past three years.

When we profiled Hall earlier this week, we said:

"On film, what stands out for Hall is his ability and willingness to explode downhill to make a play. He doesn't hesitate, and he doesn't wait for someone else to make the play. Once he identifies the ball carrier and the correct gap, he makes his move.

He does have pass coverage abilities, and he does, at times, bait the opposing QB into throws that he is able to make a play on."

Hall's commitment brings Florida back up to four verbal commits for the class of 2026. QB Will Griffin has been in lockstep with the Gators since last year, and they added Jamir Perez and G'Nivre Carr over the last month.

Florida's four commits are still just 14th in the SEC, but the seeds are planted for the Gators to start to move up as the summer progresses.
