Unlike some schools nationwide, Florida Football opted to have a public spring game on Saturday. The Blue Team beat the Orange Team 38-32 in a game that had plenty of positives from it.
Dallas Wilson stole the headlines after his 10-catch day for almost 200 yards and two touchdowns. It's one thing, though, for Billy Napier to sing the praises of Wilson; that's his job. But in the fallout from the spring game, Wilson has caught the attention of national writers who were also impressed by his outing.
Florida Football: That's What A Five-Star Looks Like
After Wilson's big day inside The Swamp, Napier said at his press conference after the game that:
"Like I told you guys before, these rankings are a little more accurate than they've ever been, and I'd say that's what a Five-Star looks like."
The irony of Napier's statement is that Wilson was a five-star, but then he saw his ranking drop across the board on multiple sites and finished as a four-star. But now, some of these same sites that dropped Wilson are cycling back and taking notice of Wilson's day.
On3's Ari Wasserman said that Wilson going nuts in the spring game has him drinking the Kool-aid:
"That type of production (at the spring game) means something... But the notion of Florida can get a big boost if one of their freshman receivers turns out to be a productive player, then I think you are feeling pretty good about the likelihood of Dallas Wilson doing that."

But it wasn't just Wasserman singing Wilson's praises. J.D. Pickell is also a believer after Saturday:
"He's different man, he's different... The most interesting part of his day is that it didn't seem to surprise anyone internally at Florida."
Scariest part about Dallas Wilson going full psychopath during Florida's spring game is that it surprised absolutely nobody...https://t.co/e8QBKOvCXe pic.twitter.com/vKUEPoFKmr

Wilson committed to Florida after a recruiting saga that saw him commit to Oregon, gain steam with Florida late, physically sign with Oregon, and then back off his commitment and land with Florida.
