Yesterday, Florida Football fans were up in arms as Dallas Wilson was dropped from his five-star status by 247 Sports. The wide receiver was dropped down to 50th overall after being highly rated during his time as an Oregon commit.

Today, On3 updated their rankings, and while Wilson was also dropped, one notable commit has risen to five-star status.

Florida Football: Moving On Up

When we first reviewed the film for Ben Hanks last April, we noted:

"On film he tends to play deep off the ball, but he has such a good read of the game that he is able to explode and make interceptions. There are also cases where opponents will try and take advantage of his alignment and dial up a screen, only for Hanks to come downhill and still make the tackle behind the line of scrimmage."

We also said his ranking around 100th overall was fair, but that was before he had a monster senior campaign where he picked off 13 passes, a Miami-Dade County record.

As a result of his senior campaign, combined with his appearance in the Navy All-American game, Hanks has been bumped up 52 spots by On3 to 23rd overall and is considered a five-star by the site.

Other notable rating changes saw Lagonza Hayward get bumped 53 spots to 35th overall, while Joseph Mbatchou was inserted into the top 250 after previously not being ranked.

Wilson, meanwhile, was dropped was 20 spots from 28th to 48th. As we noted yesterday with the drop, he had with 247, a combination of Wilson not playing in an All-American game along with a dip in stats seems to be the justification for the drop.

Vernell Brown and Ty Jackson were also dropped in On3's final rankings.

With the rankings update, On3 ranks Florida's class of 2025 11th in the country, behind Tennessee.
