Heze Kent is a 6'6" tight end out of Georgia who just wrapped up his five official recruiting visits. Kent visited Florida back in May and then made trips to Miami, Georgia Tech, Texas, and FSU.

The consensus four-star is set to make his commitment in July, and based on insider reports, it appears that Kent could be choosing the Gators.

Heze Kent would be a massive addition for the Gators

Blake Alderman of Gators Online has logged a prediction that he believes Kent is going to land with the Gators. This does run in contrast with a crystal ball prediction that 247 made, but that prediction was also back in March.

Given the usage of tight ends in Florida's offense, it is a unit that we here at Hail Florida Hail have mused about over the years for not having enough dynamic playmakers to justify how often they are on the field.

Heze could be a solution to that problem and while we aren't saying he is the next Kyle Pitts, he does have a high upside to him.

When we profiled Heze back in January when he announced his final five teams, we said at the time that:

'A junior standout, Kent showcased his versatility for Brunswick High School. He rushed for 211 yards and eight touchdowns on 32 carries while adding 41 receptions for 983 yards and eight more scores. With over 1,100 all-purpose yards, Kent helped lead Brunswick to a 10-2 season and a second-round berth in the Georgia 5A state playoffs."

If you go back through his film, he is litteraly all over the place, and if given a creative offense to work with, there are an abundance of ways that Heze can be used on the field.

Heze would only further add to the growing class of 2026 that Billy Napier is building and would be another key addition to the class if he does in fact choose the Gators.
