It sure didn't take long for Arkansas transfer Boogie Fland to realize Florida is the best place for him to continue his college career. On Tuesday morning, the expected news has come in via Shams Charania that Fland has committed to the Gators and head man Todd Golden.
Fland arrived in Gainesville on Monday for the start of his official visit. It was written in the stars that he was going to pick the Gators, with Golden and his staff clearly making him a priority, while also showing him a good time while he was on campus. This is no question a monster get for the reigning national champs:

5-star SG Boogie Fland has committed to Florida and Todd Golden
Earlier this month, Fland decided to pull himself out of the NBA Draft process. As soon as that happened, plenty of teams reached out, including North Carolina. However, Golden went all-in to keep Fland in the SEC, with the combo guard giving him the news he was hoping for during his visit.
Last season for the Razorbacks, Fland was fantastic with the ball in his hands. The 6-2, 175-pounder from the Bronx, N.Y. averaged 13.5 points per game and 5.1 assists. Fland was projected to be a second-round pick, which opened the door for him to return to the college game.
According to 247Sports, Fland is the No. 1 CG in the portal this cycle and the No. 8 transfer overall. His 5-star ranking is yet another reason to get excited about him suiting up for Florida next season. The Gators are losing plenty of talent from last year's squad, including Walter Clayton Jr.
However, some big updates have been coming in of late for Florida. In addition to the Fland commitment on Tuesday, big man Rueben Chinyelu also pulled out of the NBA Draft and announced on Monday that he's returning to the Gators. Yup, it's been a stellar two days for Golden, no doubt.
