Florida at Auburn: Key storylines

1. Can Florida’s offense handle its first real test?

The Gators scored 118 points through two games, but that was against FAU and Campbell. Auburn represents a huge step up in competition, and Saturday will be a chance to showcase whether or not the first two weeks were real or if they were a mirage.

2. Familiar faces get another shot at the Gators

Alex Golesh and Byrum Brown were with USF when the Bulls beat Florida last season. Receiver Keshaun Singleton, who scored a 66-yard touchdown in that game, also followed Golesh to Auburn. In fact, Auburn has nine players in rotation who played for USF last year.

3. Florida needs to show it can win away from Gainesville

The Gators went 0-6 outside The Swamp in 2025. The bigger storyline is that this is Aaron Philo’s first start on the road, and Auburn is not an easy venue to play at.
