Florida is set to take on Auburn this Saturday for the first time since 2019 and for just the second time since 2012. While this was once one of the primary rivals for the Gators, it’s understandable that Gator fans are not fully engaged with everyone who is on Auburn’s roster.
So these are the eight players Florida fans need to be aware of from Auburn ahead of Satuday’s showdown.

QB Byrum Brown - No. 17
By far the most notable name, and one Gator fans are probably the most familiar with, is Auburn QB Byrum Brown. He was with USF the past four years and came over with Auburn coach Alex Golesh when he took the job. Brown was also the starting QB with USF when the Bulls knocked off Florida last year in The Swamp.
For what it is worth, Brown has made seven career starts against Power Four competition. In those seven previous games, he had thrown five TDs and five interceptions. His 2024 start against Syracuse is the only game against a Power Four opponent where he had a PFF grade over 65.
WR Keshaun Singleton - No. 11
Another USF transfer, Singleton is the one who took advantage of Florida’s coverage bust last year to score a 66 yard TD. He went on to rack up 881 yards in 2025. He was Brown’s primary target in the game against Baylor, with seven catches off nine targets for 89 yards. He has also had two drops this season.
WR Chas Nimrod - No. 5
Yet another USF transfer on offense, Nimrod is Auburn’s second-leading receiver in 2026 with ten catches for 93 yards, with 60 of those coming after the catch. He had 466 yards with USF last year, but had just three catches for 24 yards in the game against Florida last year.
TE Arlis Boardingham - No. 82
Well, hello, old friend. After taking over 400 snaps with Florida in 2023, Boardingham saw his role decrease in 2024, and he opted to transfer to Bowling Green for 2025. He never took a snap with them, and he transferred back into the SEC this year. Part of the perception as to why Boardingham lost favor with The Man in the Black Polo was due to his blocking. He has been used as a rotational tight end to this point with Auburn.
LB Elijah Melendez - No. 9
Early on, Melendez has been Auburn’s most noticeable player on defense, and he has been credited with 18 tackles through two games. He was a one time Miami commit and former top-200 player in the class of 2025 who got some snaps last year, but has taken a step up into a much bigger role this year.
CB Andre Jordan Jr. - No. 22
This will be one of the matchups to watch, as Auburn has used the journeyman more than anyone else to this point. He was a low-tier three-star out of high school who signed with Oregon State and then made his way to UCLA last year. He was a respectable corner last year with a reception rate against of just 51%, but this year he has given up eight receptions off twelve targets.
S Eric Winters - No. 5
A former top 100 overall prospect from the class of 2025, Winters got a decent number of snaps last year and is now embedded as Auburn’s starting safety. He’s the guy who made the game-saving tackle against Baylor on their two-point conversion attempt. He is also the guy Lagway tried to hurdle earlier in the game and fumbled. Interestingly, though, despite those two plays, Winters also has four missed tackles early in the year.
LB Xavier Atkins - No. 17
The former four-star LSU commit is Auburn’s primary source of QB pressure early in the 2026 season. He leads all Auburn players with eight QB pressures through two games. He has only generated one sack and nine total tackles off those pressures, though.
