With Billy Napier still around, of course, quarterback DJ Lagway is still going to be going hard for the Gators. He may decide to transfer at the end of the season if Napier is fired early, but that will have to wait to be seen.

Lagway, though, is still trying to keep spirits high for the Florida Gators after a 1-3 start to the season, but it really is hard to believe, especially when looking at Florida's upcoming schedule. The Gators are set to face No. 9 Texas in The Swamp this weekend, and then head to College Station to face No. 6 Texas A&M, then return home to face Mississippi State before their second bye week.

Those are some really tough games against some good defenses, and the Florida offense just has not clicked so far this season, so even with Lagway's optimism, things just don't look good for the Gators.

"Eventually it’s going to pop, and when it pops, it is going to be hard to stop," Lagway said in a recent press conference. "I’ll tell you that right now."

The offensive stats for the Gators are not looking good right now. Lagway has 690 passing yards, five touchdowns, and six interceptions so far this season. The run game simply hasn't been there, with only 492 rushing yards and just two rushing touchdowns.

Lagway can stand there and say all he wants that at some point the offense is going to explode, but it also just feels like it's going to implode on itself instead. This offense just has not been able to click, even when the defense has been able to hold teams.

Looking at the LSU game, Lagway had five interceptions, and the defense was still able to hold the Tigers to just 20 points, but the offense was only able to muster 10 points of its own. Florida simply is not playing complementary football right now, and until it happens, this team is just going to continue to lose.
