Danny Kanell tossed grenades towards Gainesville right after the Florida upset

This is a pretty bold claim to make about the Swamp.

There is no other way to say that the Florida Gators looked horrible against the USF Bulls on Saturday night. Gator fans are up in arms with head coach Billy Napier, and it seems like this team is heading for another disappointing season.

With the schedule the Gators have against them, if they weren't able to beat the Bulls, it is hard to believe they are going to be able to have success against other highly-ranked opponents. However, there are a lot of people now saying a lot of things about the Gators, including former Florida State quarterback Danny Kanell, who took a shot not only at the Gators, but at the Swamp.

In a video posted after the loss against USF, Kanell praised the Bulls for their play, which Florida fans can't deny was good, but he also made a serious claim about the Swamp that will have fans up in arms.

When speaking about something that has been spoken about all offseason, the strength of schedules, the SEC seemed to always be at the top of those conversations. One place that was always mentioned was that no one wants to go play Florida in The Swamp, but Kanell had some words on that as well.

"You got to go to Gainesville, you have to go to the Swamp," Kanell said in his video posted to social media. "As if it is some magical place that's impossible to win. Well, South Florida just showed you that it ain't that tough."

Now this just seems like a shot from a quarterback who used to face the Gators a lot in his time at Florida State, but he needs to know that even if the Gators struggle, you never go after The Swamp.

The Swamp is an extremely tough place to play, especially in big matchup games. While yes, USF was able to come in a get a win, it doesn't mean the fans made it easy on them. In the end, it comes down to the play of the teams on the field, and USF showed they were simply the better team that day.

This had nothing to do with the fans in The Swamp and everything to do with how Napier chose to coach that game.
