Anthony graduated from Dominican University in 2014 with a degree in journalism. While at school, Anthony served in a number of different roles with his school paper, the Dominican Star, for over three years. He also was heavily involved in Residence Life and student housing and was a Resident Assistant for two years. After graduation, Anthony was a contributor with Da Windy City, another local site on Fansided. He joined the Chicago Tribune as an editorial designer in January 2015 and also became the lead editor of Hail Florida Hail in June.
