You've truly got to feel bad for former Florida Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson. He just can't seem to stay healthy now that he's in the NFL. The former first-round pick has been working his tail off this summer to win the starting QB job in Indy, but he's already hurt again.

On Thursday night, the Colts are in action against the Ravens and Richardson couldn't even make it out of the first quarter. Midway through the opening quarter, Richardson dropped back and was scanning the field, but he was ROCKED by a Ravens defender. He was hurt on the play and Daniel Jones came in shortly after.

As you can see in the video above, pass-rusher David Ojabo came off the edge completely untouched. Richardson never saw him and his body hit the turf in vicious fashion. He was visibly shaken after taking the big-time hit and clearly he was in a ton of pain.

According to reporter Stephen Holder, the Indianapolis training staff has been taking a look at Richardson's right hand, with him trying to grip a ball on the sidelines. The Colts also wasted no time saying that Richardson won't be back vs. Baltimore. Could this be a multi-week injury for him too?

When the Colts first brought Richardson in to be the team's new franchise signal-caller, the hope was that he would be a stud for the next 10 years. However, serious injuries have been the main talking point surrounding his game in Indy thus far.

In two years, he has appeared in 15 games, with his rookie season ending after only four starts. The expectation has been that he'd be fully healthy in 2025 and not only push for the starting job, but capture it by the horns and not let go. Now, the focus is on his hurt finger on his throwing hand. The door is now open for Jones, aka Danny Dimes, to take hold of the QB1 job and not give it up.
