Alex Condon is going to run it back one more time.

The 6-foot-11 forward and two-time All-SEC third teamer will be back at Florida for his senior season, giving the Gators a major boost in their quest to return to the Final Four next season. Condon had an excellent season, averaging 15.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting over 55 percent from the floor.

Condon was thought to be a fringe first-round pick in the upcoming draft, with most projections having him between the 25th and 40th pick. The NBA doesn't require guaranteed contracts for second-round picks, so the risk for Condon was significant and there's a high likelihood that the NIL package he will get to return to the Gators is competitive to what he would've received in the NBA next season.

Condon was great for the Gators all season, but particularly effective down the stretch when he scored 20 or more points in six of the final ten games. He had 22 points and 10 boards in the SEC semifinal win over Kentucky and had 21 points, five rebounds and seven assists against Iowa in the second-round tournament loss that ended the season. Condon said after the game that he wanted to use the loss as motivation in his career.

"I'm going to remember this feeling for a while. I'm just going to use it as motivation. I think it's going to make us better players individually just to know what this feeling is like, working hard all year to get into this position as a 1 seed and just letting it get away from us a little bit," he said.

With Condon back in the fold, the attention shifts to Rueben Chinyelu. The recently-named Naismith Defensive Player of the Year. Chinyelu is receiving a second-round draft projection on the board and there's a good likelihood he will return to Gainesville as well. The other member of the big three, Thomas Haugh, is almost certain to declare for the NBA Draft if he hasn't already. He has been projected to go as high as late in the lottery, but definitely somewhere inside the top 25.
