If there's one thing that Florida and Georgia Tech have in common, it's a shared hatred of Georgia.
So when Philo answered the question of how much he hated Georgia, you felt the answer in his soul.
"A lot!" Philo exclaimed.

Despite growing up 10 miles from Athens, he’s always hated Georgia.
His girlfriend attends UGA and cheers for the Dawgs. He would never.
“That doesn’t make me a Georgia fan.”

The Gators quarterback transferred to Gainesville from Georgia Tech, and how much do the Yellow Jackets hate the Bulldogs? One of their chant songs, "'Ramblin Wreck from Georgia Tech" has this wonderful line:
"He would yell, 'To hell with Georgia,” like his daddy used to do.'"
Aaron Philo boasts about his dislike of Georgia
The best part is that his girlfriend goes to Georgia, and she doesn't seem to be eager to change her affiliation to support her man. Talk about a house divided. Gator fans will gladly accept Philo's girlfriend if she's willing to come around and support her guy, but if not, she'll just be an enemy like the rest of the fans that wear the red and black.
Philo doesn't have too much time to talk about the Bulldogs though. He's stuck in a real battle with Tramell Jones Jr. for the starting quarterback spot. It's a great competition and one that excites coach Jon Sumrall, as both players are getting the best out of each other and seemingly having a better spring than former Gator quarterback DJ Lagway.
"Philo obviously has familiarity with the system, which gives him maybe a little bit of a jump start on where you are in the progression of operating within the offense," Sumrall said. "He's a good decision maker. He's got a quick release, a good arm, can make all the throws, is competitive, has some leadership traits that are intangible that you like."
One of those intangibles is a hardening dislike of the major rivals and if that along can carry Philo all the way, Gator fans will be happy to have him here.
